
After completing the ten Rolfing sessions, I noticed immediate and progressive improvements in my movement. As a runner, I had long felt something was limiting my mechanics, and through this work my hip and leg mobility, especially on my left side, changed significantly. I became more aware of how I move, not only while running but in everyday life. It was one of the best investments I’ve made for my body, energy, and mental clarity.

My name is Bellaluz Gutiérrez, and I’m a contemporary dancer. In 2018, after a serious hip injury that limited my movement and caused intense pain, I began Rolfing sessions with Nathia. I have been seeing Nathia for a year now. In that time I have received 10 Rolfing sessions which is suggested for maximum results. She has helped me reduce some pain, posture and improper gait issues. My walking has improved, I can hold my head up higher and have a taller stance. Her Rolfing technique has reduced my mild acid reflux issues which were irritated by certain foods. She loosened scar tissue on my recent hand operation which gave it more mobility and ensured other areas connected to the hand were not affected. I’d recommend her and her therapies to anyone in need.
As soon as I met Nathia, I realized that she was a special person, and I wanted to work with her. After years of being a professional dancer, I had a lot of small injuries that caused frequent pain in my neck, shoulders and lower back. In my sessions with Nathia, she relieved the years of tension so that I can work more fluidly and efficiently. These weren’t massages that temporarily relieved pain; they were re-education sessions where my body was transformed to move in way that did not allow tension to accumulate and cause pain. Years later, I am still benefitting from the first ten sessions that I did with her. Now I look forward to an occasional check-in and continue to enjoy being injury-free.
